Prayer Over the Gifts: Accept, Lord, these gifts which we present to You in memory of Saint Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows to rejoice in our salvation and to obtain the gifts of Your Spirit whose sacrifice takes away the sins of the world.
Preface: It is truly just and good to render glory to you, O Lord, to offer you our thanksgiving always and everywhere, all holy Father, eternal and all powerful God, On this day on which we celebrate St. Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows, we wish to sing to you, to bless and glorify you. He, living at the shadow of the Cross, associated with the pains of the Mother of your Son, he offered to You, O Father, with filial love. Docile to the wonderful action of your Spirit, he conformed his spirit to Our Lord Jesus Christ, and is a model of perfection for your Church.
